Many of you will know me better as Merlion, Emrys or Merlion-Emrys. I’ve used those names online for nearly half my life and have made many friends under them.

I’ve recently turned 30 and I live with my significant other in Georgia. I work a mediocre job and in my spare time I write strange stories. I also read, watch and listen to strange stories. I’ve sold several short stories now and I’m constantly circulating my work out among the markets, currently gunning for my first pro sale, and trying to get a novel written. I like to discuss writing and storytelling in all forms and the concepts that underly it.
I’m a strong believer in the spiritual and the mystical and I see creativity and art, in all forms, as a large part of the purpose of conscious existence.

This will be my place to post news on my writing, as well as my thoughts on just about everything.

“The Key of the Twilight” is from one of my favorite anime series, .hack//SIGN. The show takes place almost entirely within a highly advanced futuristic MMORPG. In it, the Key of the Twilight is a mysterious something which if acquired allows a character to surpass the system. For me, personally,  The Key of the Twilight is several things. Here on this blog, it is the goal of my quest to learn how to tell my stories in such a way that I truly convey exactly the things I see in my mind and feel in my heart to my readers. That is my Key of the Twilight.
